Alencar Apartment

The 160m² apartment, located in Noroeste, was designed to enhance spatial integration while maintaining cross ventilation throughout all rooms. With the removal of only a single row of masonry, the project encloses the arrival elevator within an MDF structure that simultaneously serves as cladding, cabinetry, countertop, and door.

Centrally positioned within the apartment, this structure organizes the surrounding spaces and is divided into two contrasting tones: white, facing the living room and circulation corridor, and graphite, oriented toward the kitchen and service area. Behind the elevator, a powder room is discreetly accessed through a hidden door in the panel, featuring vibrant wall cladding that extends to the ceiling.

The integration between the living room and kitchen was preserved to allow for maximum natural light. The primary suite is directly connected to the home office, separated only by a wardrobe. The office entrance, made of a metal frame with fluted glass, enables light to pass between façades and, when open, enhances the apartment’s cross ventilation. The children’s suite was designed to adapt to the owners’ child’s growth, featuring continuous custom cabinetry that integrates the bed, nightstand, and study desk into a single cohesive unit.
